GREG LAYDEN
Year of Birth?
1995
How old were you when you first started riding and what got you into it? Got my bike Christmas of '09 after being at the BSD 'Hell Oh Wayne Jam' seeing the likes of your finest Si Gibb shredding the big bowl I was instantly hooked haha.
What was the first BMX video you owned?
This is United.
Tell us about the scene that has grown up around KG in Glasgow.
Noisy!! Been crews of riders scattered for some time but I feel the opening of SUBSTANCE has brought a lot of folk together.
Local spots or new places?
New new! Love the never ending search for things to ride and the buzz when you find something.
Favourite place you've visited with your bike?
If I had to say one it would need to be Barcelona due to the weather, spots and over all its just an amazing city to be in.
Early start or sleep in?
I'd love to say early start but its easier said than done!
Style or stunts?
Sty-unts?
What riders originally inspired you?
I loved Ty Morrow n Lacey back in the day as well as Scots like Dean Evans n Kriss Kyle. Seeing them in the flesh when I was younger was rad.
And who do you like watching ride now?
Love watching the kids and my friends around me progress, cant beat that first street rail or barspin moment.
One-and-done or one-hundred tries?
Preferably one and done thank you haha.
Night in or night out?
Night in but with the boys is always a treat.
What BSD frame do you run and why did you choose it?
The smallest Raider frame, I like the steadiness, its not too twitchy and David is a g. Also the graphics are 110.
and how do you like to run your setup?
50psi, crankflipable chain and slightly forward bars to the norm.
